The Problem

Medical tourism in Turkey is booming, but things can go wrong. You traveled to Istanbul for a cosmetic surgery, a hair transplant, or dental work, but the procedure was botched. You are left in severe pain, with permanent scarring, and the clinic is ignoring your calls or trying to quickly send you to the airport.

02

How the Law Works in Turkey

Turkish Law heavily protects patients from medical negligence (Malpraktis). Doctors and clinics have a legal duty of care. If a doctor makes an inexcusable error, uses unapproved materials, or fails to inform you of the risks properly, you have the right to file a civil lawsuit for material and moral compensation (Tazminat Davası), and in severe cases, file criminal charges for physical injury.

03

What the Tourist Should Do

Do not immediately fly home. Before you leave Turkey, you must secure all your medical records, including pre-op and post-op photos, consent forms, and doctor notes. If the clinic refuses to give them to you, visit another independent hospital immediately to get an official medical report documenting your injuries and the failed procedure.

04

The Risks

Clinics at fault will try to limit their liability before you leave. They may offer a small refund or a "free correction surgery" on the condition that you sign a legal waiver. If you sign this document, you completely destroy your right to sue them in a Turkish court. Once you fly home, ignoring you becomes their primary strategy.

LetFix Solution

Medical malpractice lawsuits are complex and require aggressive legal action, expert witness reports, and strong evidence. You need an expert litigation lawyer in Turkey to freeze the clinic's assets, file the lawsuit, and ensure you get the maximum compensation you deserve.
